A permit-ready deck, designed with your agent.
Say what you want, or sketch it over the plan. Permitude models the deck on your actual lot, checks it against the residential code your county adopted, and compiles the drawing set a plan reviewer expects — foundation, framing, elevations, connection details, hardware cut sheets. You review it, adopt it as your design, and print.
Not another drag-and-drop deck builder: there is no UI to learn. Works inside your AI agent (Claude Code, Codex and Antigravity are officially supported).
Install
Anyone can install and sign up. Permitude is in a public beta and free while it lasts; every sheet says it was generated by the beta version. Questions go to support@permitude.com.
Install Git and Python.
Permitude runs on both. Install each, accepting the defaults: Git from its own site, then Python 3.13 from the Microsoft Store (click Get). The installer from python.org will not do: it has no python3 command.

It needs a paid Claude plan. On a Mac, open Terminal (⌘-Space, type Terminal) and paste:

If your Mac offers to install developer tools, click Install, wait for it to finish, and paste the lines again. Permitude loads in this folder only.This installs Permitude for your whole machine.

The first time, Claude asks you to sign in to your Claude account. The first time, Antigravity asks you to sign in to your Google account. Your agent asks for the address: Permitude fetches the lot and the house, so from the first build you are looking at your own back yard. When Permitude asks you to sign in, use the email address your invitation names — an address we have not invited never receives a code.

Every build updates it: the 3D model, the design log, and the sheets as they compile. Sketch the change over the plan, or leave a note on a part or a spot on a sheet; your agent reads them.

A manifest, the address of our endpoint, and two small hooks that carry your design file across. Nothing that models, checks or draws lives on your machine — the plugin is permission, not capability. Every file is on GitHub.

What a build compiles. Every number on every sheet comes from the model, so the drawings cannot disagree with it.

Letter-size, one hairline weight, monospace lettering — the register a plan reviewer reads every day. The free preview is the full set, watermarked. The clean set prints once you adopt it.
The studio
Where you and your agent meet: review its work, draw what you want next. One link per project, good from any device.
Review every build in 3D — on your lot, with the house, the parcel line, and a level you can drag to any height.
Sketch the next move — draw over the plan of your build: a line, a rectangle, a dimension, a few words. Or grab a part and stretch it two feet. Your agent reads the sketch and builds it.
Redline it — click a part or a spot on a sheet and say what should change. Your agent reads the note and answers it with a build.
Adopt, pay once, print — you sign the set as your design before anything is paid. Amendments reprint free.
General notes
- Permitude is software. The design is the designer's own, and the designer's name goes on the cover.
- No engineer's seal is provided. Your building department decides what it accepts.
- Reference site data — aerial imagery, lidar, parcel lines — appears in the studio only and never prints. Your own survey rides the set.
